Sasquatch: So Apple are suing HTC over patent infringements.

Sasquatch: 20 different patents.

Moth: Could land apple in trouble with the EU..it's the cool thing that competitors do these days
Sasquatch: It seems they're specifically going after Android.
Sasquatch: They just don't have the balls to take on Google directly, I'd say.
Moth: Oh yeah
Moth: In that case HTC are fine. They licensed an OS.
Moth: Unless they are trying to target their HTC Sense interface?
Sasquatch: Not really sure at this stage.
Sasquatch: A lot of the patents are quite broad and vague.
Moth: In other words, the only harm been done is Apple getting more bad publicity, and their share price dropping futher
Sasquatch: hopefully.
Sasquatch: Unless they get a complete clusterfuck of a judge, or HTC just settle.
Moth: Something tells me they won't settle
Moth: So much to gain from the free publicity
Moth: HTC is still, unfortunately, a relatively unknown company to most people
Sasquatch: So this might make them a bit more popular?
Moth: If this keeps making big news, a lot of people will be hearing their name and hearing of these funny little "Android" phones that don't suffer from the same problems as iphones
