QDB RSS API

Introduction

QDB.us currently offers a read-only API in the form of a parametrized RSS feed. More options are coming soon, including voting, JSON, and XML. For now, here is how to use the RSS feed.

Feed URL

Parameters

These are specified in the GET string.

action

String; latest, top, best, random, quote, bottom, leetness, picks

With the exception of quote, these correspond to respective pages and URLs at qdb.us.
The quote action returns a single quote, specified in the quote parameter.

quote

Integer

Used with the quote action, specifies the quote ID to return.

fixed

Integer; 0, 1

1, default, <tt> tags are included to format the quote in a fixed-width font.
0, <tt> tags are omitted from the <description> in the RSS feed.

client

String

Just for statistics for now; Please let us know if you're going to use this one.
